Dewin's Tour  Kathryn Campbell Services for Children and Families Officer of Menter Bro Ogwr and Kate Parry Development Officer for Mudiad Ysgolion Meithrin went on a tour with Dewin to visit the children and leaders of every Welsh medium nursery within the Borough.
The children had an opportunity to meet Dewin, sing songs, dance and have fun through the medium of Welsh.
The officers were feeling excited about the trip and were looking forward to meeting the children and adults of the County and getting new ideas on how to improve Welsh Language opportunities in the community. The trip went very well, with all the children and leaders enjoying, they were eager to hear about other projects which will be offered to them in the future.
I would like to thank Dewin for coming to visit the children of Bridgend County Borough.

Sali Mali Tour 
Kathryn Campbell, our new Services for Children and Families Officer, is going on tour with Sali Mali and Kate Parry from Mudiad Ysgolion Meithrin. They are planning to visit all of the County’s Welsh nurseries to meet the children and staff.
They will be asking the staff questions on what opportunities they would like to see happen in the County through the medium of Welsh, what kind of trips and days for the family they would like to see offered to the families that attend the nursery’s at present.
Informational folders, full of information and freebies, will be given out to the parents! The folders contain:
• CD full of Welsh songs ,
• Colouring book produced by the Welsh Language Board ,
• Sali Mali colouring book ,
• Days for the family timetable,
• Information on Bilingualism and the benefits of being able to speak Welsh,
• Information leaflet about what Menter Bro Ogwr offers across the County
• Feedback questionnaire
The children will have an opportunity to colour a Sali Mali flag and before meeting the lady in the flesh!
Kathryn is very excited about the tour and is looking forward to meeting new members of staff and children and to have new ideas on what opportunities Menter Bro Ogwr can provide in in community.
